Hi I did some research(a whole 2 months worth) on converting an Access 97 database to 2013. I came up with the fact that it need to be converted to 2003, meaning I made a new BLANK DB with 2003 then imported my stuff an saved as mdb. After that I repeated the same import steps to get it into 2007. Now for 2007 when I saved the new DB on a blank one, it was saved as a .accdb
The reason for this is because I wanted to open it into access 2010. After creating a new blank DB and importing to 2010 I saved it with the default format which is 2007-2010 format. Now we go to 2013, I repeated the same import steps only as I import its telling me "Cannot open with a previous version of your application". Note that ONLY THIS VERSION OF ACCESS gives me this message and I had no issues with the other version. So basically I cannot open certain tables/forms/queres etc except by viewing the code. I even tried a clean re-install of Access 2013 just in case and I still get the same issues?
Any ideas? I'd rather not post my db for legal purposes.
