Exclamation How to use one column to update another col (same table) based on a new structure (in another table)

We are implementing a new structure to our responsibility codes.

The responsibility code is based on what is in the vertical market.
How can I update the RC column using the new structure (which is in another table) - basing it on the vertical market column?

    Thank you.

normally you just join the 2 tables on the common field, then update the one needed.
but you did not supply your table structure, we cant help you.

    more info please.

Yeah, not enough information on the table structure. I will guess this. It sounds like you are trying to store calculated data. Vertical column? Maybe try using a query to display your vertical column.
