    Access Fe/sql server be scalability

    Good afternoon,

I need some advice. I have a situation where I've built an access's front end that searches a linked sql server table on a simple form. Each user has a launch file that grabs the most recent copy of the db from a shared network drive, saves it to their desktop and opens it. It uses a file dsn and windows Authentication to connect to the sql server.

That said, currently 50+ people are using it. How scalable is this since each person has their own copy of the accde? Per the linked article below, it's essentially saying infinity but I know realistically the sql performance can degrade and sql is limited to 30,000 something connections (I think that's the number).

This will only support 2000-3000 users.

Is this something I should worry about?
