Deleting Data in a table from a form

So I have a form that is connected to a query. You can go forwards and backwards in the form to see all records. Today we deleted all the entries by pressing Ctrl+A then pressing delete. Why does this delete all the entries in the query and in the table? Also how do I prevent it from happening if someone thinks they are only selecting what is on the screen to delete?

You can look to the Properties of the Form to restrict edits. For instance, you can adjust the Allow Delete to equal No.

Thank you. Allow Deletions = NO!
