    Error message on importing files

    Hi,

I am trying to import some data using a database I have inherited a database that I don't know anything about! All I did was replace the monthly excel file, I made sure the file name was the same and in the same location. I get this message when I try to import. It imports other files that I replaced in the same way.
"file name" is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

Please can someone help? Many thanks.

the message is clear in identifying the problem - are you sure it is exactly the same? no extraneous spaces, same file extension?

I didn't realise that I needed to re-link files, I thought saving them in the same folder with same name would be enough. Learning new things all the time!

same filename, same location, same range? should not be necessary to relink

    Did Re-linking resolve the issue?
