Why is it so hard to explain VBA?

I'm reading the Access 2010 Bible, and it's just confusing mash (sorry Mr Groh). Some Hints are very helpful and useful while the educational sequence of VBA is all over the place, back and forth. Why can't educators just say:

Start here: Go to Insert / Module. This is what a module is. This is what a module is for, and does.
Next: Go to Insert / Procedure. This is what a Procedure is. This is what a Procedure is for, and does.
Next: Here's a list of all of Access' Keywords and their explanations. This is what Keywords are, for and do.
Next: Right-click / Property Lists and Methods. This is what they are and do. etc, etc, etc.

Having just said all that, I've found a site with exactly what I'm looking for. A clear Step-by-step guide to VBA. The explanations are excellent. http://www.functionx.com/vbaccess/

Glad you found a site that works for you. I have often referred posters to FunctionX vba.
