How to set length of text in a combo box or a text box

For the life of me I can remember or find how to set the length i.e. number of characters. Could it be caused because the form was created in an earlier version of Access? The DB extension is xxx.mdb. I am still using Office 2010 at home where I developed the DB in the 1900's and 2013 in the office where I have several DBs, 1 for ea. project.

Typically that would be set in the table, the Field Size property of the text field.

I think I assembled my first DB in '85. Thank You for the reminder. Turns out they were set for long integer. When I went back to the forms they were now excepting all the text, Go figure...

That bar isn't visible for you? I'm not aware of a setting that controls it. I'll ask the admins.

The shy admin wants to know what browser you're using, and if you can try another?

Sea Monkey, it is FireFox and Thunderbird in one package. I'll try Chrome.

That's strange, do you want me to reset your password? You can do it with this link: https://www.accessforums.net/login.php?do=lostpw
