Drop down box on form does not work after importing into database

We have a form with a drop-down box. When we try to update a users database with the form, the drop-down box does not always work, the order in which the fields are shown is wrong and it is bound to the wrong field. Sometimes it would right itself after a while. The updated form is travelling with the table and query it relies on. To date we have always been able to make the update work, by sending another version of the database and updating just the form. This behavior is very hard to understand. I have rebuilt the form and the drop-down box, thinking it might have been some underlying corruption.

I'm really stuck for ideas. Appreciate any help that might be out there.

Since it is a form, you may be able to do a compact and repair after deleting the troublesome form. Then, import the replacement form. You want to be careful doing compact and repair on your DB after deleting one or more of its objects. You want to avoid doing it when a dependent object is not there.

Having said that, it is likely you are importing the problem (corrupted control(s)). But, you did mention you rebuilt stuff too. Maybe you thought you rebuilt everything that was needed (corrupt).

Thanks for the suggestion. It didn't work immediately. Then went through the properties of the combo box. Changed the bound column couple of times and it started working. I need to establish if the properties can change with the importing function. But customer back on track for now. Thanks for the help.
