Report issues with sorting for company & product.

I created a query that sorts part numbers by company (in ascending order), then component number (also in ascending order), status = active. And it looks great.

My boss wants me to create a report off of this where we can list them, then send the information to each manufacturer (of course separately) so they can verify any obsolescence components for the coming year.

I've create a report and it sorts by component, then company, which is not what I want. Here's the screen shots:

The following pages list the rest of the IC components, then the QF components, etc.

Also, I'm not able to force printing onto a new page for each company.

    Thank you, Rebecca

In your Query, I think you might need to put =ACT on all the conditions, not just the first.

In your report in design view, right click on the Detail blue bar and select "Sorting and Grouping". In there you can set up Sort fields, group by each Company and even tell it to keep together or force starting on a new page for next Company, etc.

As and additional piece of information: Later version MS Access Reports *ignore* sorting from the Report RecordSource and just use the internal Report "Sorting and Grouping".
