Using the program on access 2016 AND 2010 without needing to add references

My program was made using Access 2016, but it is intended to be used on a couple computers with Access 2010. I get an inconvenient error every time I install on an Access 2010 computer, something like "Missing: Excel 16". I keep needing to add tools>references. I can add the references manually, but it's very inconvenient, and I want to make my program user-friendly.

My Access skills are not exactly the best, and I am very lost as to how to make it so that my program can run on Access 2016 and 2010 without a problem. Can someone help me with instructions on how to do this?

    Thank you,
    Brad

Search on late binding, which doesn't require a reference and is a common way of handling environments with different versions.
