Two minor datasheet related issues in Access 2007

    1. How is it possible to display a datasheet maximized without user interference? Whenever I open a table or a query datasheet, it's not maximized and must do it manually. This was not the behavior in Access 2003. If it was supposed to "remember" the last open view, then it's not working.

    2. In context of an open datasheet, the toolbar icons on the quick access toolbar are disabled. I am referring to the 'Clear all filters' and 'Clear all sorts' are disabled after applying either or both to the display.

1, If a form is normal (not max,and not min) then the next form will open that way too. So, open the form and max it....

    docmd.openform "fMyForm"
    docmd.maximize

2, don't know. The toolbars should show when the form does. Make sure they are on in Access setup.

think the OP is talking about opening tables and queries, not a form. But can't offer a solution other than to change the window option to tabbed documents

Thanks Ajax. That is exactly what I meant. I know how to work with forms, I have extensive knowledge of VBA, but I have 174 linked + 10 local tables in one .accdb, and switching the record source each time I need something to look up is not worth it. I will try tabbed view and if that doesn't work then will keep on maximize it manually.
