Question How can I make my report rename the caption to a choice I've selected from a field?

Hello, let me see if I can explain this....

I have a report with a field in it that I can filter by. This field is called ManagerName. When I choose the manager I want and click on the email button at top of access I'd like the report to autoname to the manager I've chosen.

I don't have any forms or queries. 3 tables 1 report.

I see the caption field in the properties sheet view for the report, but how can I make it so that will change to the manager I've selected when I click on the Email button?

    Is that possible?

We need to see what you are dealing with.
Post some screen captures to get started.

What type of control is ManagerName?

What I would like to do, if possible, is the name of file automatically change to the name of the manager.

I'm not an Access 2016 user, but my feeling is you need to get the name of the control that holds the ManagerName,
then when you have chosen the ManagerName, you use it/assign it to the Report caption property.

If you are going to send individual reports to a known set of people/managers, then you should be able to set up a procedure to do this "automatically".

Perhaps someone with 2016 experience can offer specifics.

    Good luck.
