http://[Private IP]:8080/AccountRight not working on some PCs

    Hi All,

I have built a database in MS Access to work with MYOB AccountRight versions 2015 and beyond.

My code works fine on my computer, and others I have worked on, but I'm having an issue getting it to work on a particular clients computer and I suspect the security settings, although I have no idea where to start.

On my PC I can view the MYOB company files in a web browser by typing http://localhost:8080/AccountRight, OR by typing http://[Private IP]:8080/Accountright. By replacing 'local host' with the [Private IP] of a host computer over a network you can see the company files on the host computer.

But, on my clients computer I can only view the local company files using http://localhost:8080/AccountRight. When I replace localhost with the computers own Private IP it won't work. MYOB insists that is should work, hence I suspect some kind of security or privacy settings.

Has anyone come across this type of issue before? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mitch

    Does 127.0.0.1 work

Have you done an open port scan to make sure the service watching port 8080 is running.
    Is Firewall configured
Does the client use endpoint security
    is there virus protection.
