Incorrect index associated to data in subform

    Hi Guys,

I have a subform with a ID field which i have created into a combo-box. This includes the ID number and name of staff members. The problem is the combo-box value does not associate with the table values. eg: ID 1 in combo-box = null value not present in database, ID 2 in combo-box = first database entry, etc.

Any help would be appreciated thanks

For clarification. The data in the combo-box do not link to the data within the staff table. So here is when i select ID = 1 :

and here i have changed the combo-box to 2 however as you can see the related table it shows 1.

    hope that clarifies.

The error message suggests that you may have created a relationship incorrectly between your Staff table and (I think) tblAssigned Staff, i.e. the relationship may be in the wrong fields.

For the combo box - what is the rowsource for the combo, how many columns are there, are any of them hidden, and what is the bound column set to? It may be that the value of the combo box is not the value you see.

Seemed like the the combo box was trying to find the "0" ID in order to work correctly I added a record to ID 0 and everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks!
