    Date(0 questions.

What is the difference between Date() and CDate() is MS Aceess 2010?

I believe that they are different and that CDate() is used in calculations involving dates.

Also, where is there a good tutorial on calculation with dates? I have not found one in my usual tutorials selctions.

I am mainly wanting to check licenses etc. for whether they are expired or not.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

Date() returns the current date as a variant (string).

CDate() is a type conversion function which converts any valid date expression to date type.

Just curious - how did you google (or bing) to find out about the date and cdate functions? Reason I ask is I just googled 'vba date function' and this was the first link to come up

    http://www.tutorialspoint.com/vba/vba_date_time.htm

with a simple, clear explanation of the difference between the two. Reason I ask is perhaps you need to review how you are searching for stuff

I have used the VBA capabilities in the Excel module not in the Access 2010 module. Sponsor does not want that. Period.

So I am restrained on this.
