    This is my firsts attempt to make a data model. I am trying to design a new database the proper way and not just start typing on the keyboard in Access.
    I have attached what I think will be the data model with 5 tables.

    Here is a description of what data I am trying to capture:
    I have a test facility. This facility has test locations on-site and off-site. Two of many the on-site locations have multiple test pods. Each test pod has its own name. I will have other tables that will reference the test facilities information Like a products table that will relate which product can be tested at which facility. Some products can be tested at multiple facilities. But I will expand this to include that later.

    Am I on the right track? Is this the proper way to separate my data into the proper levels of normalization?

    I added a picture of the model not realizing that many do not have visio. I have been reading the tips and links some of you have given me on normalization and I think I have it figured out. Just wanting to know if I am on the right track of what I need to change.

    Thank you,
    Walker

    I cannot get any information when I run this qry. I am just trying to get it to show all information for all 6 records for the PK in tblTestFacilityLocation. It gives me all blank boxes. I currently have sample data in each table. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you,
    Walker

    @Walker.

    I've been looking at this.......I really don't know enough about your project to give a good answer on the structure, but I might start with

    Field "SiteLoc" would be "On Site" or "Off Site".
    "TestPodName" might be "ATF", "Hydro", ....
