    Database Functionality

    Hello everybody,

I currently track 400 or so permenant assets spread out across 7 different sections (seperate locations). I've been doing the inventories of these items by printing out the seperate sections queries and by hand checking serial numbers and marking them off. I'd like to set up something so i could pull up an individual section, scan it and it would either highlight, check a box, or something else to let me know which ones ive already accounted for. I'm always open for suggestions for other ways to handle this as well as other capabilities i should put in the database. Thank you in advance.

There is an Asset tracking database template available from Microsoft that may help.
Do more analysis and get more details of what you want to do. Don't confuse WHAT with HOW.
Check box, color...etc are presentation affects. Getting your tables and relationships designed and tested to meet your requirements is critical to a successful database application.

Here is a free youtube video on Stock Management.
    Good luck with your project.
