Validation rule for a specific number of digits

I am trying to create a validation rule for a text field which has to have a 12-digit number.

I tried both "############" and "[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]", however, they return an error "one or more values are prohibited by the validation rule" even when a 12-digit number is entered in the field.

    What am I doing wrong?
