    Access Database Computer Service

    Dear friends.
I am new in access databases and i want to learn somethings from forums. I want to create a database for a service computer. So i need some help

    Device Table
    --------------------
    CodeDevice
    PelID
    DevDescript
    Manufacture
    DevSerial
    DevModel
    DevPart

    Customers Table
    -----------------
    Code
    PelID
    Company
    AFM
    Tel1
    Tel2
    Mobile
    Address_1
    Business
    Memo
    fax

So i want to create the above tables. I am not sure what have to be the common field and what willl be the relationship between the common fields. For example i have PelId as common. So do i have to connect that 2? and do i have to put a key on that 2?
    Thank you

I suggest you start by working through this tutorial from RogersAccessLibrary. You will learn the basics of design and get experience from the procedure you use.

Then, there are some free videos on Database by Daniel Soper starting here.

    Good luck.

Thanks a lot friend for your answer. Seem very usefull. Do you know any good book to suggest me also for databases and for access 2007. I am using Access 2007

So the tip is to make a third table that will be in the middle and the connection of my 2 tables. Is it better as a design like this?

Work through the tutorial. It applies to all versions of Access or any other DBMS.
Basic design does not depend on the version of Access.

Do the analysis to know exactly what you are trying to solve. Access will not do anything that you do not tell it.
