Add two unbound form fields to create a total

    Hi all,

Just trying to get the contents of two fields, [Area] and [Severity], to add and not concatenate

After updating each field to Area (value) = 5, Severity (value) = 3, I'd like a third field, [SAC] to display 8, and not 53!

    Anybody help?

    cheers

    Pete

found a quick solution, when the field is updated I added a little to the end...
    me.Area + 0
    Me.Severity + 0
then they become REAL numbers, and I can add them together
