Imported data shifting to the wrong field

I have been running an EXCEL import for months with no issue but now I have the data being imported shifting one field to the right.I checked the source file and the data is int he correct field (column). Why does it shift and how do I stop it?

Perhaps you could show us some data. Along with the expected field layour and the actual field layout.

I can't seem to be able to add a picture. I have an excel file with with several fields. All have imported fine for over a month now. Today, the data toward the end of the table shifted to the next column. There is a field called "Created Date" and a field called "Closed Date:. The "Created Date" data is showing up in the "Closed Date field, leaving the Created Date field blank. Other fields are field with data that is not normally imported, and some are shifted to the right. IT was suggested that there may be a hard carriage return in the a cell or field within the raw data but I cannot figure out how to find it.
