    conditional fomatting flickering

    Hello everyone,

I've set a condtiional formatting for current records in continuous forms, here is link:
    http://www.utteraccess.com/wiki/inde...ht_Current_Row

Now I have flickering when I move throuhg records, especially frustrating when form is maximized - everything flickers.

Can I stop this flickering ??? I've tried with Application.Echo False, Me.Requery, Me.Repaint, Me.Recalc in form Current_Event, but nothing stops It.

    Please help !

not really - it could be your conditional formatting is excessive and/or inefficient

I would say Access is unefficient, since It does not provide highlighting current records by default, record selectors just aren't enough.

And I figued that It's actually not CF that causes flicker, but On_Current_Event - whatever you have there, subform will flicker, so It's a bug.

I see that others were trying with LockWindow Update API, but strangely It's not working for me.

easy to condemn - can you suggest another development system that has highlighting current record by default or even as an option?

perhaps you should consider reviewing your current event code to see if you can make it more efficient and/or move some of it to other events such as open or load

There is no such thing as highlighting by default, I have never seen It so far, but highlighting current rows without flickering can be done almost anywhere.

Even in Excel this can be done. That's why I figured that Access might have some solutions too.

Flickering can't be eliminated. I'm closing this thread.
