Exclamation Calling a .NET Application from within Microsoft Access VBA

Basically my problem boils down to this: I need to do something in VB or C# that cannot be done in Microsoft Access alone.

    DETAILS:
    1. I want to reference that VB or C# application within Microsoft Access, just as I would reference an Excel application within Microsoft Access.
    2. I want to set a few properties of that external application, just as I would in Excel object.
    3. I want to make that external application visible to the user after I'm done setting a few of its properties programmatically.

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I've been Googling for hours and I haven't found any answer to this. Thank you in advance!
