    Runtime of an AccessDB

    Hi,

How can I import data from an access database into a runtime version on a PC with no Microsoft Office. Is it possible.

    Tx

Well this would depend greatly on the runtime.

It's a runtime version of an access 2007 database and it works fine, but I just can't import data into the tables of the backend database.

I believe the runtime conversion of an access database removes the ability to do what you want. There may even be a warning say that this kind of change is a one way street.

One time task: Move the DB to a computer that has Office.
repetitive task: Have runtime db with link to data to be imported, then use an action query to do the import.

As james says, you need to write code to import data since the import facilities (among others) are not available.

code might use transfertext/spreadsheet or create linked table and use queries to import
