PROBLEM - Between [start date] And [end date] parameter still showing all entries

I want to create a query where I can search for dividends paid by date.

Example, when I run the query, I enter 01/04/2015 as a start date and 30/04/2015 as an end date.
There should be no results as no dividends were paid in April but I am still getting results. What am I doing wrong?
All other queries in my database are working fine with this method.
I have attached pictures of the query design and the results but have blocked out names for privacy reasons.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

No I never but just checked and this works!
Is this because it will automatically return all values if there are no results without the # signs?

Actually, no it doesn't work. When I use the # signs on the actual dates where dividends were paid it is not returning any results.

You may want to format your dates as mm/dd/yyyy (American). Access tends not to correctly interpret dd/mm/yyyy format, especially in where clauses. It won't complain about 01/04/2015, but it will interpret it as Jan. 4, 2015
