    Ambiguity in Lesson 25

In the final section of the tutorial of Lesson 25, it gives a set of commands:

    http://www.functionx.com/access/Lesson25.htm

    6. Increase the height of the Report Header section down o 10.50

    7. Increase the height of the Detail section down to 9.50

    8. Increase the height of the Report Footer section down to 5

What are they talking about? I do not understand. I know where each of the sections are, but what does increase

the height of the X section down to 5 mean?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

usually ,items are measured in the system default measurment...inches. but it could be cenitmeters, or pixels.
there should be a ruler on your report along the left and top edge.

you adjust the header so you dont have 6 inches of header and only 2 inches of data to print in.
youd grab the header bar and drag it up to reduce the amount of header space at the top of the paper.
same with detail, and footer space.
tighten it up so you dont waste paper space.

I assumed that it was talking about the rulers on the top and the left side of the report.

I mean anyone can understand : widen the report up to 7 and 7/8.

    However, the next one:

Increase the of the Report Header section down to 10.50.

How do you increase something down to a value?

I simply cannot find 10.50 on the vertical ruler on the report.

    Any help appreciated.

You posted link to lesson 24, not 25.

Look at the section properties. All have a Height which can be set by typing a value into property or by dragging the bottom edge of the section. So the instructions are to drag the edge down until reaches the given measurement.

I thought as much, but you must realize this is going to make a very long report.

I do not know what print preview is, but I would wager it a very long report.
Also, what about page header and page footer. They are they are there also.

I am assuming they are there just a some time of delimiter.

Yes, long, multi-page report. The instructions are what they are.

"The sum of the top margin, the bottom margin, the length of the page header
and the height of the page feeder is greater than height of the page you are printing on"

It says toward the end of the tutorial to print the report. When I merely use print preview this is what
I get. So can it still be printed out? Should I just ignore this message and continue?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When I just went to print preview, I got the above error. I am not sure what else to do. If the
report can be printed out then fine. It would clearly not fit one one page.
