My app uses security pemissions (MDW file) and I have a split DB (MDE/MDB). The MDB/MDW files are in a shared network directory and a copy of the MDE on the other stations. Is it wise to put the MDE alongside the MDB, in order to avoid copying it to all the stations after an update? Keep in mind that the tables must be relinked each time a new copy of the MDE is sent, as i develop the app in a different directory structure then the client's MDE is located so i find this too much for the users to do themselves.
So, is there a catch or black spot, if the users also run the MDE from a shared network dir (that is only one copy of the MDE that I myself relink to the MDB).
TIA
