Open form for specific record from datasheet view

    Hello,

I am trying to setup a fairly simple database. I have a datasheet with a set of records in, I would like it so when you click on the ID column for a specific record it opens that record up in its form view.

I am using Access 2013 and it is for a web database.

I have found this video which outlines how to do it, but it doesnt work when I follow it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8nEFLVMQE8

All that happens when I follow that video is every record opens as my ID 1 record no matter which one I click.

    Thanks

I can't view youtube. But we really need to see what you actually did. Post your code or provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    Hello,

ignore the youtube video actually. I don't think it works for my database as it is for a normal database as opposed to a web database (which is what I'm using.

    Thanks

If the video demo was VBA then yes, won't work - need to use macros. If still an issue, post the macro settings or db for analysis.

The video was for a macro, however the macro settings in a normal database are different to those in a web database. Don't know how much difference it makes but it states that in a web database a WHERE statement cannot begin with an = sign.
