Fire off event on another form

I'm trying to fire off an event on another form without using a public function

I'm trying to get the calendar form (which is checked to see if at open at the time) to fire off the after update event

not sure what I have wrong with the code

    Forms!frmCalendar.cboMonth.AfterUpdate

    I've tried forms("frmCalendar").item("cboMonth").afterupdate

    but that didn't work either

    can be done?

Sounds like a contradiction. You want it to be private but be available from other forms. Why private?
