    Excel problem (vlookup)

    Greetings,

    I am having problems with this vlookup =VLOOKUP(M:M,ParentTAsFY15!A$1:F$132,2,FALSE), it is giving me wrong information on certian Items, am I doing soming wrong?
    any help would be appreciated...

    There is a problem with your first argument "M:M".
    The first argument is the value you are looking up. It needs to be a single value, not a whole column.

    ok that is fixed, however, still am getting the wrong value in some cells

    ex: #N/A should be accept

    #N/A is usually the message you get when it cannot find a match.
    Note that in order for it to be a match, it has to be EXACTLY the same.
    Numbers formatted as Text won't match up with numbers.
    And if you have an extra space at the end of an entry, it won't match up with an entry that does not have a space on the end.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
