    BUG in Access 2010: Attachment Field : attached document loses saved changes.

    steps to produce problem behavior.


    1.I use attachment field in a table.
    2.attached a word document to a record.
    3.Saved record.Closed MS Access.
    4. Opened the record again.
    5. opened attachment dialogbox by double-clicking attached document and opened it in MS Word.
    6.Did some changes. Saved document in MS Word. Closed MS Word.
    7.Came back to focus on MS Access.
    8.CLOSED Attachment dialogbox by clicking on Close button (X) on top-right-hand corner of the Attachments dialogbox.
    9. repeated steps 3,4 and 5.
    10.changes which were saved (step 6) are missing.


    1. Microsoft support accepted that this is a bug but have not fixed it ( No patch - no service pack) - . Support case: 114080711684368

    Is there a Question: Yes-Implied. If any one else has come across this issue? If so, Got Workaround?

    I expect the 'workaround' is to not store documents in table.
