Mapped network drive used, away from home

I built an Access application where the data is kept in a different location, addressed with a mapped local drive. This is done to allow multiple computer access.

Now I am on a trip and I can't access the network via the mapping process. But that's the way I normally find "myself." I ant to do some debugging on the application but can't because the "drive" isn't mapped and the app exits after announcing the problem.

I think I can use the "change links" approach, and I'll change to that when I get back.

    Suggestions?

    Dick

So this is a split design and you have a copy of frontend and backend with you on laptop? Yes, use Link Manager to modify the table links.

I don't use drive letter mapping. I use UNC pathing. This means user local drive mapping is irrelevant as long as they can login to network. Review

How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I'll look into this later - Thanks. Have to get back home before I can do ANYTHING!
