    Cool Forum Help

    Hey guys,

I'm sort of new to access. I am trying to add a switchboard to my database. I want this switchboard to lead to different forums, depending on what is selected.

Right now, I have a a couple of different tables. Computers, monitors, etc.. Each item in the tables has a user name associated with it (userID). Obviously, there are items in both tables that are associated with the same user name (each user has a monitor, desktop, laptop, etc.).

What I am trying to do is, have a form that has a combobox (dropdown menu) that includes all of the usernames and when a person selects one of the users, a query will be ran and then a report will display the results of this search.

Does anybody have any recomendations for me, and maybe some possible tips as to what code to use.

    Thank you very much!

    No code should be needed.
The combo should be set to the query that pulls the users.

The button to open the dataset can be a macro that opens the query
    Or 1 line of code..ex: docmd.openquery "qsUserData"

99% of Everything can be done via queries and macros.
    No code.
