How to disable my database to be linked to/imported from by other databases?

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make my db as possible a Access can provide. I already set vba startup options, hided navigation pane and ribbon with vba and disabled [SHIFT] key baypass. Another potential risk that I see, is that anyone can create a blank database file and link to my database. It allows him to bypass all the security options I've already implemented and edit all my objects so easily. How can I tell my database to deny every external connection to it? Is it possible at all?

You'd have to build a WORKGROUP. (google that, its a whole new set of issues)

Then add users, and each user would have rights. Disable the ones you dont want them to use.

well, maybe for another project I'm slowly approaching my deadline and don't want to get into this to deep. I have users privileges and all that crap but coded inside access. I think I can bypass this issue by locking back end with a password (I've never done this yet). Will this make any complication for my current front end to connect?

Thanks for the links, setting password for my back end seems to be what I need.
