Question Re-organizing records in a Table

    Hi,

I am using Access 2007 and I have a record in the field ID position #40. I would like to move it up so that it is in field ID position #2. I thought that I could just drag it up, but I am having trouble. Does someone know how to do this?

    Thanks,

    swb1

Cannot 'drag' data like that in Access table. Tables don't work like Excel spreadsheets.

Records in table do not have a defined order - tables are a 'bucket' data is just thrown into.

Records can only be 're-organized' by sorting. That's what queries are for.

Unless you are talking about changing the order of fields and not records?
