Navigation Pane is very small, can't resize

I am working on someone else's database that they designed, and I can't see the tables etc, because the Navigation Bar is about 1cm big, it won't allow me to resize the nav bar either, the person who designed the database is also not sure how he managed to make this problem. Any suggestions!!!!!

Aside from you stating that it cannot be resized, it sounds as though it has been collapsed. If collapsed, click it.

No, unfortunately that is not the problem. All the traditional methods are not working.

I am using Access 2016. I hit something on my keyboard and the navigation pane is now one character wide. I can't get it to go back to normal. Please help. Like previous post, all normal solutions are not working.

Seems like a quite common problem. Googled solution: close the Search bar (right click on Navigation Panel header and switch Search off), that should "un-stuck" the panel and you'll be able to resize it.

Thank you for trying. I did see that recommendation and it did not help me.

I ended up creating a new database and importing all of my files from the old one. The old one is still unusable.

So it was simply some sort of corruption. I'll mark this thread as solved.

Actually, the right click option worked for me.

Thank you for having it up here.

First hit the F11 button and then you have the possibility to resize your navigation pane to normal again.

I've found that with my 4K monitor, sometimes the panel is too small to see the resizer. I reset the display to 2K, widened the navigator panel, and then reset back to 4K display.

One for Colin to fix - he's changed his websites in the last couple of years and this is an 8 year old thread revisited every couple of years or so

I fell for the infamous "raise a dead thread" trick.
