    VBA Enable Macro Security Alert

I have created a new Access 2007 DB. Obviously, since I am the creator, it doesn't disable the macros. But for the users of this DB, they are getting the Security Alert window.

I have added the location to the Trusted Locations list (top 2 in the window above), but the Security Alert still shows. What else?

After you add the Trusted Location, it should not display that alert the next time you log in (that warning does not go away within the same session you added the Trusted Location). Try exiting the database and re-opening it and see if it works.

Edit, in the screen prints you have made, I do not see a Trusted Location set up for the path it says the database is in (Y:\Access Req Form)

Sorry, the top entry in the Trusted Locations (.....\PRODLTC\USER) is the mapping for the Y drive. "Access Req Form" is a sub-directory on the Y drive. When I added that one, I added the "root", and selected "Subfolders of this location are also trusted".

When my user opens the DB, they area still getting the Enable Macros security warning. Even though, it is a trusted location.

After added the Trusted Location, did you close out of the database and then try re-opening it to see if those changes worked?
If not, you probably want to confirm/check out your Macro Settings in Access.

That is what I am curious about because the warning talks about "enable it for this session only".

    So, when you go to:
    Access Options
    Trust Center
    Trust Center Settings
    Macro Settings

    Which radio button is selected?

When I went to the Macro Settings, it was set to "Disable all macros with notification". I changed it to "Enable all macros", had the user try it again, and the Warning message still displayed.

That is how mine is set, and it works fine for me.

It is almost as if it appears if it doesn't recognize your drive path mapping.
Just for kicks, try adding a Trusted Location directly to Y:\Access Req Form and see what it does (if that works).

I say edit the registry using VBA.

You can implement the code provided here or simply run this db on the machine locally.
