    ODBC-Call Failed

    Hi good people,

I currently have an issue (ODBC-Call Failed error just trying to open the table) with linking some of my SQL Server tables to my Access database with ODBC, that is the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 only, while the SQL Server driver functions good. I only have issues with some tables, while the majority works. I reverted to use the SQL Server driver instead.

I currently uses Access 2007 and SQL Server 2012.

Although the SQL Server driver seems to work good, I wonder what the difference is between the two drivers and if the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver is suppose to be more efficient.

1- Why I am having issues with some tables with the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver?
2- Which driver is more efficient?

    Thank you for your help.

I do not really know the answer. However, it seems to me you already answered your question. You need to use the correct ODBC driver. I found this info on the World Wide Web.

The client components are are files that support running an application that was developed using SQL Server Native Client. To also install the SDK components, specify...
