    User Level Security eliminated?

Access 2003 had the user level security. I know that this is not available in 2007, but is there a comparable new feature in 07 that replaces this? My goal is to create a database that when x user opens the database and then opens a specific form, that form is automatically filtered to records related to that user. Has this feature been completely eliminated in 07?

You can actually still use ULS with 2007, but only if the database is left in MDB format. It is not available in ACCDB format. More info in the "What's gone" section:

    Security example

    Hey RedGoneWILD,

Give the attached zip files a try. I found a copy in my archives. Again, I apologize about the problem on dbforums.

DB opens without security if content is not enabled

    Hello,

I have created user level security following the guidance in pkstormy's link. It works great except if the user does not allow content. If content is not allowed, my opening form (which opens as modal and has scripts attached to it), does not open. Until the person clicks "enable content" they have full view of everything in the database. Obviously this is a problem. Any thoughts on how to deal with this?

    Thanks.
