    Forms Printing Quotations?

Hey guys working on a database for work and I've got the tables sorted (asking some questions in the other forum)

but I've created my forms for editing the data, now I've got to the point where they look like our Quotation and Invoice templates we currently use them.
However when I print preview I can see more than one record, after some research it seems I shouldn't print Forms off, is this true?

reason I ask is it's very simple to cycle records find the one you want and print it, as I've tried using Reports but they seem to be static and I can't cycle records and print them, am I doing something really wrong here?

    TIA

    Luke.

You have a lot more control printing a report, yes. I'd use this to print a report for the record displayed on the form:

I've looked at your link but I don't know if that will do what i'm trying to achieve (lack of knowledge in Access)

I need the form as it is printed, with the record displayed.

is there a way of converting the form into a report?

Should I link to the database as i'm new to Access and i'm learning but it's like 2 steps forward 1 step back. :-(

Don't have 2013 running right now, but in previous version you could open the form in design view and then use File/Save As to save it as a report, which might then require some tweaking.

Thanks for the tip, i'll have a go now

right it's copied the Form as it is, but I have no record controls, and it is showing the records before and after it in the print preview, ideas?

I never knew that. It never occurred to me that you could convert a form to a report like that. I'll have to try it and see if it can save me some time.

    Thanks Paul Great tip!

Luke: I would use the technique above to restrict the report to the record displayed on the form.

Steve: No problemo! I use that now and then. Typically I still have to play with the report to get it how I want it, but it certainly gives you a head start.

    one.

will this update to different records, if so how?

    second

that link says opening a second form from a form, not a report?

Edit tried it anyways both on a form and on a report, in report it can't find the form, surpise. and in the form is says the expression on click you entered as the event property setting produced the following errors, A problem occurred while Access was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX control.

Also in design view it's gone really slow now.

The link mentions you can open a report with the same method. Can you post the db here?
