Can a database encrypted in Access 2013 be opened in Access 2010?

Umm, basically what the title says. I Encrypted a file in Access 2013 for a school project (We had too). However, my professor uses Access 2010, which I can't seem to get a free trial of anywhere, and so I was wondering if he would be able to open the file? Because when I tried on my old computer, which had Access 2007, it said it was unable to open the file due to it being a database my application couldn't recognize, or it being corrupted.

What do you mean by 'encrypted' - published as accde? I know there have been times I tried to open a 2010 accdb in 2007 and it failed. Sometimes opens, sometimes doesn't. Not sure if I've ever tried a 2013 db. Can't you just test it on professor's computer?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
