Trusted Locations and Active X controls

In my Access 2010 trusted location list, I have only one entry:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\MicrosoftOffice\Office14\ACCWIZ\

…\office14\ has other folders such as ADDINS. Are any of these folders from a vanilla install applicable to Access 2010 that I should add them to my trusted location list? Are there other libraries that I can down load from Microsoft (or Safe sites) and then insert a trusted entry to my access 2010? TIA Phil

You should also include the folder in which you are developing your applications.

Thank you, I did so! In that there were no internet sites suggested (by anyone), is this a legal liability restraint issue? TIA Phil

The suggesting of sites with downloadable ActiveXControls to replace the calendar that MS dropped in Access 2010. Recommending sites that might not be secure might be frowned upon by management. That kind of thing. Phil

Have you tried the calendar that is included in Access now? It is just that it is not ActiveX.

If you bind a TextBox control to DateTime field in the RecordSource of a Form, Access will display a Calendar next to the control.

Checking to see if I did it correctly: Form Property Sheet RecordSource has "DateTime" entry, the Form Text Box Control Source has "=DateTime". I am experiencing an error message of non existence of the DateTime . The Control Source drop down button displays no calendar particulars so I typed in the value shown. TIA Phil

In a form, add a text box, make the text box type date.

When text box has focus you will see a small calendar icon beside the text box.

The Control Source should point to the DateTime field.

I apologize for my lack of understanding. If the Form Property sheet RecordSource eguals DateTime, how can my table PersonanelT's date field be bound to it. This Table has a date field, DateAbleRetire. The Form, CalendarT, has one text box, DateInsert. What should DateInsert's ControlSource have in it? Also having difficulty locating "Data Type" Property rzw0wr mentioned. TIA Phil

The Form property sheet RecordSource should point to your table (or a query of same). Use the down arrow to locate and set this value. The DateInsert control ControlSource down arrow should then be able to locate and set the right value.
