query to read from different versions

    Hi everyone

its been a while since I posted here....

but ok here goes, I want to know if it is possible to read data from different versions of data i.e. for example: if I select Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 in a dropdown list in sql reporting , I must read version 10 data. if I select quarter 3 and 4 then I must read version 20.

however suppose a user selects q1 and q3 I need to read version 20 data , this is where I am a bit confused and thought that maybe someone with more experience would be able to help me here.

    please do assist .

    much appreciated

What do you mean by versions? Different tables? Database files? Are you saying you have different time periods in different tables? If so, that's typically a design error.
