Scan File to folder location from access

I want to create a form that will allow me to scan a document while I am in access. I will input the correct information into different fields of the form. This will then update all the required tables. I can create the form and update tables with user inputted information. I am wondering if anyone knows how I can actually have the document scanned from this form (a button with scripting is fine) and then send the document to a specific folder.

I have been searching this google link and many others for quite some time. I am not finding anything helping me implement this. I don't want to put the file into the DB. I want to be able to scan it, save it as a .pdf, and index it in the db. No OCR or anything else. Most input will be manual, just trying to save a separate step of scanning manually.

Did you check out the link in the second post of that thread? I just did. Unfortunately the sample db's are Access 97. I don't know if they will run under later versions.

See if this article helps http://kbase.icbconsulting.com/vba/s...ccess-database
