Does a SharePoint DB have the same 2BG size restriction?

    Hello,

My company is looking into signing up for SharePoint Online services. Hopefully we will start using it soon.

While working in my inventory database today I apparently hit the glass ceiling for DB file size of 2GB. Do DBs published to SharePoint have the same file size restriction of 2GB?

    Thanks in advance!

Since the data and user interface structure is still Access files, my assumption is yes.

The option is to not store objects in attachment field. Instead store path to external object in text or hyperlink field. AFAIK, Access is the only db app with an attachment field type so if migrated to SQL, Oracle, etc., this would have to be the approach.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
