Data control through built in security

My access database is a main data file that has several access front ends linking the data file to them. I use a workgroup file to maintain permissions. If I change the permissions of all users on a table so that only read only is allowed. Can code that would run when the user is logged in, change the data for that table?

If this is confusing please ask and I can try to clarify.

    -Thanks for your time

    Never used workgroup setup.

Couldn't you do a test and find out? You can surely set permissions back if necessary.
