    Setting permission?

    Hi there,

Setting user-level security and permission is done when many people are using your MDB file to design and ...

I have done the user-level permission and it's working fine, my question is about the finished program.

When program is finished and given to the client then how this permission prevents him from changing the tables .....

    Cheers

I don't remember much about 2003 and have never set up password security but possibly the only way to prevent modification is to deploy run-time executable: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...001120886.aspx

    Hi

I was thinking about posting a similar problem so I thought I could reply here. How is this done in Access 2010? Is there a way to use the database (edit data, but not tables, form, queries and reports) without having Access installed? I realize that its probably a dumb question, but I'm creating a database for a start-up company that don't have a lot of money before it "takes off".

Access isn't really designed for user level security. A split db may be particularly difficult to secure.

    Google: Access 2010 secure database

    Start with http://www.opengatesw.net/ms-access-...-Practices.htm
