I opened Access. Go to External Data -> ODBC Database -> Link to the data source by creating a linked table -> Machine Data Source -> New
And something pops up:

ODBC System DSN Warning:
"You are logged on with non-administrative privileges. System DSNs could not be rendered or modified."

But when I open Access by running as administrator, I can do so without the above warning.
That is the first thing that confuses me.

I have installed MySQL/ODBC Connector (64-bit).
In Access, I cannot see the driver listed in the Machine Data Source tab. (But when I installed 32-bit, I saw the driver in the list)
It seems that Access is 32-bit based.

It seems
Access must be run as administrator to fully control Machine Data Source
and

Access can only read the 32-bit driver.

Is that right? And why?
Thank you.
