    Win2003 Internet server, Access 2002 DB. VBscript .asp web page forms TO: Access 10

    First off let me say HI to all of you.
    I am new here but not to forums, I have been hosting 4 of my own Snitz 2000 Access based forums for a decade ;-}

    About 3 years ago when I finally accepted that after 25 years in the PC building and fixing biz everything was going non-desktop I found a new gig, building Motorized Bicycles.

    Though if I spent enough time refreshing my knowledge of VBscript and Access I could whip up something to handle the business stuff and maybe even tie it into the KCs Kruisers business web site I'm just not up to it so I am looking at Business SOftware I can run from the remote server and just use my browser to get stuff done.

    MY ACTUAL QUESTIONS:

    The web based system I am looking at includes the source code and totally open ended like my Snitz forums are so I have no problems customizing it to my needs that way, but to work it needs:

    • need Microsoft Office Access 2010 in one the web server's administrator (server end) and all other client computers ONLY need Windows, Mac or Linux OS and internet browser.
    • Need to have Microsoft Office 365 or a Access hosting service for publish to Access Service.

    I know I need Access to open the DB and modify it, but do need Access 2010 to server it?
    I am already processing Access 2002 DB info and don't really need 2010 to modify the new DB itself.

    Will I be OK?
    If not will anything I change so much I have to fix all my 2002 based .asp pages even if I leave then in 2002 format?

    Thanks guys and thanks for having me ;-}

    I see MS has a trial version of Access 2010, maybe I'll try it...

    Still no responses?
    I really need to know if switching to A10 is going to screw me or not.
