    write conflict error

I have a form with some combo boxes; which are used to search a subform with resulting matching records. If no matching records are found a new record is put in the subform with 2 IDs filled in from the main form. If results are found; the resulting record is populated in the subform. Works great initially and allows me to add a new record with data (when match not found). However, if I have to make a change and repull the record I created - when I try to edit I get a write conflict error. It will only allow me to select:

copy to clipboard or drop changes

I have tried to make the changes directly to the tables (SQL linked tables) and I get the same error.

If I go to SQL and update the records, it works fine.

    Please help!

Need to analyse db if you want to provide. Follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
